Role Overview: This position involves providing direct care to an adult male quadriplegic throughout the night shift. Ideal candidates will be upbeat, communicative, and have experience in either hospital, long-term care, or home care settings, particularly with third/overnight shifts. The client has a well-structured team in place, ensuring that support staff work cooperatively and can rely on one another in case of scheduling conflicts. Responsibilities: Ventilator monitoring and maintenance during night shiftsTrach care and respiratory suctioningAssistance with urinary and bowel managementBathing, skin care, massage, and range of motion (ROM) exercisesMedication administration and vital signs monitoring as neededSupport with daily living activitiesLight cleaning duties, including laundry, wiping down surfaces, changing trash and recycling, sweeping floors, and ironingPet care as required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification (required)Minimum 2 years experience working in hospital, long-term care, or home care settings, particularly on night shiftsStrong communication skills and a collaborative spiritUp-to-date COVID-19 vaccination (required)Valid driver’s license (required)Ability to travel within and outside the U.S. for up to 5 weeks per year (non-consecutive) Work Environment: This role is based in a secure and modern condominium in downtown Burlington with on-site parking and access to the scenic waterfront. The support team has a private study available, equipped with a smart TV, Internet, and kitchen access for use during shifts.
