MHS is currently seeking full-time Maintenance Technicians II – HVACR/Plumber to join the team. This position’s primary focus will be providing heating and cooling service, repairs, and maintenance for various residential and commercial facilities. Additionally, this position requires proficiency and diagnostic abilities in all mechanical trade disciplines including, but not limited to plumbing, residential & commercial appliance repairs and minor electrical repairs. The incumbent is required to demonstrate journeyman level skill through successful completion of a written and practical exercise. All work is to be performed in accordance with all state, local and federal codes, and regulations, and may require licensing. Work assignments will be based on the overall skills of the Technician; however, this position is required to support any of the mechanical trade disciplines. Some of the required skills and abilities are: Demonstrated knowledge in the installation, repair and maintenance HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical systems.Demonstrated troubleshooting ability with respect to electronic controls (prior experience with a Building Automation system is a plus).Demonstrated ability to utilize hand tools, power tools and analytic tools (all tools are provided by MHS).Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job, including the ability to lift 50 pounds.Ability to utilize electronic devices (i.e. tablet) and software for work order management and communication.Ability to work independently and as a team. This is made possible by the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, who established the school in 1909 and ensured it was fully endowed. Thanks to that foresight, the school has almost 12,000 graduates and is expanding to serve more students. MHS is hiring Flex Transitional Living Assistants (FTLA) to live with and supervise high school seniors in campus residence buildings in Hershey, PA. FTLA’s mentor MHS seniors to ensure they develop the life skills necessary for success post-graduation – whether they are entering post-secondary education, the military, or the world of work. FTLA's prepare students for the challenges they’ll face by role-modeling life skills and teaching self-responsibility, goal setting, planning & prioritization, time management, personal finance, and interpersonal skills - including appropriate dating behavior and managing peer pressure. Other responsibilities include creating and supervising evening & weekend recreational activities, taking students to Sunday chapel services, and collaborating with fellow staff members to continually evaluate and enhance the program. Additionally, FTLA’s provide coverage in MHS’s students homes as needed. This is a year-round position, working a schedule of 9 consecutive days, followed by 3 days off. Compensation includes a minimum annual salary of $48,799 plus a benefits package. Housing & utilities are provided. Up to $2,800 in relocation assistance is available.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required. Valid driver's license in good standing and an ability to become certified to drive a 9-passenger van.Experience working in youth residential settings a plus. Monitor the company Journeyman Lineman performance to assure their work is performed to UGI’s specification. This includes call-outs and storm restoration Approve design changes and extra work. Verify invoices for department charges.Review all distribution line construction jobs that come into C&M and coordinate with the Company’s line contractor supervisor to determine the most effective way to complete the work. Schedule jobs and assign them for completion by company crews, based on their work backlog, the needs of the business, the company’s labor agreement, and customer requirements.Evaluate, purchase and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required for the company Journeyman Linemanto work safely, efficiently, and effectively. In collaboration with methods and standards personnel, evaluate alternative work practices, methods, hardware and construction standards. Implement those found to be most effectiveProvide all programs and training for company Journeyman Lineman as needed to work safely, efficiently, and effectively. This includes satisfying all the requirements of OSHA Regulation 1910.269. Support Electric Division training programs by acting as an instructor or SME relative to the development of new training programs or policiesCompany vehicle provided.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of UGI's distribution line construction standards, methods, and equipment. Knowledge of UGI internal systems such as SAP, DOJM and other systems, practices. Knowledge of UGI’s Electric Service Tariff. Extent of experience will be considered if education is not in-line with the education requirement.This position recommends a minimum of ten (years) experience with increasing responsibility and skill level.
