MHS’s psychological services team members provide direct and indirect psychological services to assigned students and are responsible for decision-making regarding students’ safety and mental health which include assessing psychopathology; assessing risks and incidents, advocacy, determining the services to be delivered; developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress. The team shares an on-call rotation to ensure students are provided psychological services on a year-round, round the clock basis. Psychological services team members also provide leadership, education, and recommendations to staff and parent/sponsors. They also collaborate with other health professionals including psychiatrists, pediatricians, and social workers to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment. A Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Certified School Psychologist will also be considered.A minimum of 3 years of experience providing therapy & assessment services, preferably in a clinical setting.Applied experience with both clinical and/or school psychology preferred.Experience with treatment plan management.Demonstrated sound crisis intervention skills required.Strong background providing evidence-based therapy and assessment services.Knowledge and depth of experience in psychological/diagnostic testing, psychotherapy, professional ethics, consultation, clinical procedures, and psycho-educational programming.Proficiency with computers including computerized diagnostic assessments, Microsoft applications, and Internet utilization.Exceptional interpersonal skills, including excellence in collaboration.High degree of discernment and excellent judgment.Must be available for core on-site office hours and on-call work rotation.Skills in spoken and written Spanish a plus.Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students.
