Job Duties: Review production sheets and menus to determine the type and quantity of foods to prepare. Follow recipes and guidelines to prepare assigned menu items. Arrange and present food attractively and appetizingly. Test food by tasting, smelling, and using a thermometer to ensure it meets health and recipe standards. Prepare various menu items (vegetables, fish, meat, casseroles, soups, etc.) using kitchen equipment like kettles, ovens, and fryers. Qualifications: Minimum of two years of experience in cooking or food preparation. Experience in short-order and breakfast cooking is a plus. MHS is hiring married couples to become flex houseparents. Flex houseparents are couples who reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
