Pol-Tex International is currently seeking a Non-CDL Yard Truck Driver to join our logistics team. Our fleet, facility, and equipment combined with our experienced and dedicated professional staff make Pol-Tex International the premier gathering and recycling center for the Gulf Coast Region.
Yard Drivers at Pol-Tex are responsible for relocating, docking, and transporting 48’ and 53’ trailers within our manufacturing facility. They must be able to keep up with a fast paced production environment while accurately recording information to ensure on-time shipment of goods. This position also uses propane, sit-down forklifts to help load and unload trailers. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.

Primary job function is working on various types of railcars, barges and above ground storage tanks. Tasks include cleaning and washing railcars using high pressure equipment, product removal, performing minor maintenance repairs and/or parts replacement. Traveling locally and nationally will be required at times, and may spend nights in a hotel.

Manage monthly variance reporting. Support college in disaster planning, preparation and recovery. Receiving and helping with inventory management of parts and materials in the warehouse (periodic inventory of stock, issuance of parts, physical arrangement and movement of parts in warehouse). Coordinating preventive maintenance for elevators, assuring compliance with authorities having jurisdiction and management of operating and inspection documentation.  Notifying the proper elevator service when emergencies occur, aiding the company when necessary, and guaranteeing that all service phones are performing properly. Receive, log and deliver packages to appropriate departments and/or persons at the College. Unload freight from delivery trucks with pallet jack and/or fork lift. Manage monthly reporting of CMMS survey results.
