Daily Instruments is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to join our rapidly growing design and production team. The Drafter will be responsible for coordinating onsite work with the sales support team, engineering team, designers, purchasing/requisitions and special project team personnel, as well as working alongside production management staff. The successful Drafter will ensure that projects are completed safely and accurately, and in a timely manner to meet customer and shipping goals.
Full-Time | On-Site In-Person | Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM (flexible schedule to accommodate two production shifts)
Job Duties:
Manage the project work plan process to ensure accurate and timely completion of production goals
Perform Engineering calculations involved with design, drafting or product; and all engineering changes
Coordinate with customer specification, needs to ensure all sales and resulting work orders are in compliance with those requirements
Strict compliance and enforcement of all ISO, QA, contractual, and client requirements
Read and understand technical drawings, schematics
Create drawings for customers, Sales Department, Engineering or any other as required.
Create, update and correct drawings for submission to customers.
Create Vendor Data books for submission to customers.
Maintain drawing number log, of drawings made for sales, purchasing, manufacturing, clients
Coordinate work with and directly communicate with multiple disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, welders, and other production staff
Inside Sales and/or Engineering point of contact and interface with Sales Support, vendors, clients, customers, other company departments, production.

Qualifications:
Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Must be fluent in English with ability to communicate highly technical terms/ideas; any other language skills are beneficial
Drafting, Technical or Engineering background and/or education, required
Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) competency (preferably AutoCAD).
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Familiarity with machine shop, working in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
Familiarity with Production Planning or Scheduling, preferred
Excellent technical communication skills, verbal and written
Understanding of ASME codes and NDT processes
Understanding of GD&T and welding symbols
Self-driven initiative to respond to fluid work environment and rapidly changing priorities
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Enthusiastic team player, Creative thinker, focus on bottom-line results while managing for Total Quality Assurance Compliance
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to walk and maneuver about as needed, on the shop floor, inventory stockroom, and or shipping loading dock.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
