The Harris County Flood Control District is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role will oversee the payroll processes for District employees and recruitment efforts to attract qualified candidates for open positions. Screen resumes and job applications, forwarding qualified candidates to hiring managers for review and consideration. Conduct periodic reviews of job descriptions, updating them to reflect changes in duties and responsibilities as needed. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify necessary skills and competencies for open positions, ensuring timely and effective recruitment. Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation, including an overview of District and county policies, benefits, and mandatory training.
