Our team members are the heart and soul of our success, consistently delivering exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding service to our clients and their passengers across North and Latin America.Role Purpose StatementThe Quality Assurance Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the sanitation program at the assigned Customer Service Center (CSC), ensuring full compliance with current Food Safety Standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in the implementation, inspection, monitoring, and verification of sanitation and food safety systems across the facility.The incumbent will ensure that sanitation staff possess the necessary competencies and skills to perform their duties effectively. They are accountable for verifying sanitation outcomes and taking timely corrective actions when needed to uphold sanitation and food safety standards.A key focus of this position is to foster and promote a strong Food Safety Culture by maintaining high sanitation standards and raising awareness among employees and leadership. Additionally, the Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous execution of preventive food safety control programsincluding policies, SOPs, SSOPs, cleaning schedules, master sanitation schedules, and associated documentation.Main AccountabilitiesGeneric Supervisor ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP) and customer, corporate, and regional food safety standards.Inspect manufacturing processes, determine sanitation protocols, and optimize processes, tools, and schedules.Oversee Cleaning and Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS); verify sanitation through daily inspections and escalate issues.Develop work schedules and manage sanitation staff performance.Ensure pre-operation sanitation inspections are conducted before production starts.Monitor chemical use, maintain SDS compliance, and conduct required annual training.Keep cleaning schedules, MSS, and SSOPs updated; verify sanitation records for accuracy.Analyze environmental monitoring and sanitation swab results; implement corrective actions.Collaborate with FSQS owners on risk assessments, zoning, and program reassessments.Participate in the Food Safety Team as sanitation process owner.Partner with Engineering and Maintenance to ensure sanitary design during facility or process changes.Manage pest control programs in collaboration with third-party vendors.Perform other duties as assigned.Leadership ResponsibilitiesOrganize, staff, and direct area of responsibility; coach, train, and evaluate sanitation staff.Communicate effectively and professionally across all levels.Exhibit initiative, independence, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.Support company initiatives like FSMS, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, and Employee Safety.Promote company values and management principles.Plan and manage cost budgets, taking corrective action as needed.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent knowledge required.ServSafe certificationOne to three years conducting sanitation in food related field requiredWorking knowledge in developing and implementing Cleaning Schedules, MSS (Master Sanitation Schedules), and SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures) in food manufacturingProven analytical and leadership skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budgetWorking knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and HACCP regulationsExcellent verbal, written, and organizational skills required, combined with an aptitude for multitaskingBe a collaborative leader who inspires, manages, coaches, engages, and respects people.Knowledge of computer skills required, including use of technology (scanners, tablets, printers, copiers, etc.), Microsoft Office programs (highly desire-Excel), and cloud-based systems.LSG Sky Chefs is an EEO and Affirmative Action Employer of Women/Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
